David C. Nevins, ESQ.

David C. Nevins graduated cum laude from Binghamton University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Mr. Nevins earned his law degree from Hofstra Law School in 1999. While in Law School Mr. Nevins was a member of and an editor for the Hofstra Labor and Employment Law Journal.

Mr. Nevins is admitted to the New York State Bar, District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and the District Court for the Southern District of New York. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and Nassau County Bar Association.

After graduating from Hofstra Law School, Mr. Nevins became an associate for Leeds Brown, LLP. During his tenure with Leeds Brown, LLP, Mr. Nevins practiced in the area of employment discrimination law. He developed an extensive familiarity in the field of employment law and employment discrimination and served as lead counsel on many litigation cases and has trial experience in both Federal and New York State Courts.

In 2002, Mr. Nevins started his own practice focusing in the areas of real estate, commercial litigation, trusts and estates, and corporate law.

Mr. Nevins acts as general counsel to cooperative corporations, condominiums, and homeowners associations, where he handles all legal matters including but not limited to: advising Boards of Directors, acting as transfer agent for purchases and sales; vendor contracts; representation in administrative hearings; mortgage refinancing; landlord and tenant actions’ and litigation.

Mr. Nevins has extensive knowledge and experience in representing New York City Mitchell-Lama Coops. He regularly handles, among other things, mortgage refinancing, 8A/HRP Loans, landlord/tenant proceedings, large construction contracts, extensive litigation, and advise Boards of Directors regarding legal issues involving the Mitchell-Lama program.

Additionally, Mr. Nevins is of Counsel to Vogel & Associates, P.C. and the Law Firm of Haggerty Munz, PLLC., where he handles various real estate and litigation matters.
